VISION
HOME exists to behold and burn. We BEHOLD the beauty of the Lord, which ignites our hearts to BURN for Him. We desire to foster and sustain a culture of prayer, worship, and discipleship leading to Kingdom service. (Psalm 27:4, Matthew 22:37-40, Romans 5:8)
MISSION
To cultivate Kingdom culture, equipping others to live active prayer lives, to fully engage in worship, and to do Kingdom work throughout NW Iowa and the surrounding region.
WHAT DOES THAT LOOK LIKE?
Our desire is to be an authentic community of believers that focuses on intimacy with the Lord.
House of Prayer - We are called to prayer and worship, and desire to be a prayer center that partners with the local church in being intentional about prayer. Our prayer room, open to the community, is set aside as a continual place to enter into prayer that we would be inspired to pray without ceasing (1 Thes 5:17).
Missions - When we love like Jesus, we desire to impact others for his glory. James 2:24 says, ”You see that a person is considered righteous by what they do and not by faith alone.” We partner in mission with the Lord through ministry with HOPE Food Pantry, Bible studies, various prayer ministries, and mobilizing in prayer as needed.
Equipping - We believe in equipping people to make disciples of Jesus to the glory of God in Christ. In addition, we feel strongly about equipping the body of Christ with the full Gospel message and the gifts of the Spirit. We don’t just believe the gifts of the Spirit exist, we teach and encourage individuals to operate in their areas of giftings.
WE BELIEVE
WE BELIEVE that there is one God, existing in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
WE BELIEVE Jesus Christ is the Son of God, born of a virgin, lived a sin-free life and willingly gave His life on the cross for the forgiveness of our sins.
WE BELIEVE Jesus Christ was resurrected in victory over death, obtained eternal life for those who believe in Him, and that He ascended to the right hand of the Father and is coming again in power and glory.
WE BELIEVE that salvation comes to us by grace, through faith in Jesus Christ.
WE BELIEVE in the bodily resurrection of the saved to be forever in eternal blessedness and joy with Jesus Christ, and of the lost to judgment.
WE BELIEVE the saving grace of God through the power of the Holy Spirit empowers us to live our daily lives pleasing to God and anoints us for service and ministry in the Kingdom of God.
WE BELIEVE that the BIBLE is the inspired Word of God and is the standard by which we are to live our lives.
WE BELIEVE all of the gifts of the Spirit remain in place today and that miracles performed through the gifts of the Holy Spirit bear witness to the Kingdom of Heaven and the power of God.
WE BELIEVE in the spiritual unity of believers in Christ, working together in harmony as the body of Christ.
WE BELIEVE as the body of Christ we are to act to bring healing and restoration to areas of brokenness and injustice in our world, for the good news of Jesus Christ has ramifications not only for the life to come, but for our present life today.
WE BELIEVE the committed prayers of dedicated Christians, who come before God in unity, cause positive changes in our lives, in our churches, in our communities, in our nation, and in this world for the glory of God and the advancement of his Kingdom.
